Mobile Legends is a five-a-side MOBA: two teams, three lanes, one jungle, and a single objective — destroy the enemy base. Unlike a shooter, progress here depends more on understanding your role and your timing than on spending. Diamonds help, but only in the places where they help.
What diamonds buy, and what they do not
Diamonds are the main currency in Mobile Legends. You spend them on new heroes, on skins, and on entry to some events. What diamonds do not buy is power: free heroes are played at the highest ranks, and the player's skill is what decides the match.
- Hero: widening your hero pool for the moments when your usual role does not fit the team composition.
- Skin: appearance and sometimes visual effects; the numbers inside the match do not change.
- Event: some events have a diamond entry and hand out a limited reward.
Five roles, one team
A balanced composition matters more than a strong single hero. One common line-up: an EXP laner, a jungler, a mid laner, a gold laner and a roamer.
- EXP lane: holds the solo lane and joins team fights as a tank or fighter.
- Jungle: controls neutral objectives and ganks, setting the rhythm of the game.
- Mid: the team's main mage; depends on level and items.
- Gold lane: the late-game damage dealer; the team has to protect them until the items arrive.
- Roam: vision, protection and initiating fights; the least visible and often the most decisive role.
If you are new: pick one role and play ten matches in a row in it. Learning a single role answers faster than switching heroes every game.
Player ID and server ID
To receive diamonds you need both your player ID and your server ID. Both are printed on the profile card under your in-game name. Do not drop the server ID: diamonds are delivered to that exact combination, and a wrong server ID sends the top-up to a different account.
Frequently asked questions
Do diamonds affect the result of a match?
No. Diamonds buy heroes, skins and event entries; wins and losses are decided by team composition and the decisions made inside the match.
What should I buy first with diamonds?
If your hero pool is small, a hero that fits the role you enjoy most. Leave the skin for later.
Where do I find the server ID?
On the profile card, next to the player ID. It is the four-digit number that also appears in the server list.
Mobile Legends is a game of small decisions: one fixed role, one balanced composition, and an ID read correctly. Spend diamonds on the lane you actually play.
