Honor of Kings is one of Asia's busiest mobile MOBAs: five-a-side battles across three lanes, with heroes that each fill a defined role. Matches are quick, and the gap between a good decision and a rushed one is usually a single team fight.

What tokens do in Honor of Kings

Tokens are Honor of Kings' in-game currency. You spend them on heroes, on skins and on seasonal events. As in any MOBA, tokens do not buy a direct competitive edge — the right hero and a clean execution of the role decide the match.

  • Heroes: unlock the ones that fit the way you play.
  • Skins: appearance and effects, with no change to the numbers in a fight.
  • Events: access to a season's time-limited rewards.

How rank actually climbs

Rank in Honor of Kings is built from match results and your own performance, not from spending. Three habits do most of the work:

  1. A fixed role: two or three heroes in one role, rather than ten heroes across five roles.
  2. Looking at the map: most losses come from missing vision and a surprise gank, not from a lack of damage.
  3. Objective discipline: a tower and a dragon have a fixed value; hunting the enemy player has a variable one.

The usual mistake: changing hero after every loss. If you do not play three matches in a row with one hero, you never learn whether the pick was wrong or the execution was.

Player ID and region

A top-up needs your player ID, and packages depend on the account's region. Take the ID from your profile card and compare it once more before you pay. The display name is not the reference; only the ID is unique.

Frequently asked questions

Do tokens affect match results?

No. Tokens buy heroes, skins and event access; team composition and execution decide the result.

Buy a hero or a skin first?

A hero. A small hero pool locks your options at the pick phase.

Why does a package from another region not work on my account?

Packages are defined per region and cannot be applied to an account in another one. Check the account's region before you order.

Honor of Kings is a game of role and tempo. One fixed role, three practised heroes and an ID read correctly take you further than any purchase.
